Visual Lombardy
Visual Lombardy is the Region of Lombardy’s tourism website, the first website in Italy to have a platform dedicated to multimedia cartography for cultural and immersive tours. More than 500 geo-referenced points of interest: immersive tours of churches, monuments, historic buildings and museums, not to mention mountain trails, lakes and cities.
An initiative resulting from collaboration between Regione Lombardia, Geomondo, Telecom Design, Borsa Internazionale del Turismo (BIT - the Italian tourism trade-fair) and Seat Pagine Gialle with aerial imagery by Telespazio. Geomondo has been involved in creating the immersive routes in this project.
A new type of photographic filming using cutting-edge technology and equipment means we have been able to digitize places not normally accessible to the common visitor and make them navigable online. The public can now admire even the smallest details of works of art, such as the altar of Milan’s Duomo or the chapels in the Sacro Monte sanctuary in Varese

Our company is currently busy putting most of the towns in the Province of Bergamo online.
Thanks to its excellent working relationship with the Municipality of Calcinate, Geomondo has been able to create and adapt its publishing system with a view to providing a valuable service to the benefit of both public bodies and the general public
